← Help CenterHow to Connect Your Namecheap Domain

What You'll Need

  • Access to your Namecheap account
  • Your website address (we'll provide this — it looks like yoursite.treehaus.site)
  • About 5 minutes
1

Log Into Namecheap

Go to ap.www.namecheap.com/Domains/DomainControlPanel and sign in with your Namecheap account.

Find your domain in the list and click on it to open the domain settings.

2

Go to Advanced DNS

On your domain's settings page, scroll down and click DNS or Manage DNS.

You'll see a table of DNS records. This is where we'll make our changes.

3

Update the A Record

Find the record with Type: A and Name: @. Click the pencil icon to edit it.

Change the Value to:

76.76.21.21

Set TTL to 600 (or the lowest option available). Click Save.

4

Update the CNAME Record

Find the record with Type: CNAME and Name: www. Click the pencil icon to edit it.

Change the Value to:

cname.vercel-dns.com

Set TTL to 600. Click Save.

Note: If there's no existing CNAME record for www, click Add New Record, choose CNAME, set the name to www, and the value to cname.vercel-dns.com.

Let Us Know

That's it on your end! Send us a quick message to confirm you've made the changes, and we'll finish connecting everything on our side.

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate, but usually it's much faster — often within minutes.
