A story about
building things.

~my-homepage/index.htmlWelcome to my homepage!🚧 UNDER CONSTRUCTION 🚧📖 Sign my guestbook!CoolDude99: nice site!! love the colorsxX_sarah_Xx: visited ur page ♥ come see mineYou are visitor #000847

Once, the internet was full of homepages.

Little hand-built places with personality to spare. Guestbooks where strangers left kind notes. Under-construction GIFs that somehow felt more honest than any polished landing page. Tiled backgrounds that made your eyes water, and "Welcome to my corner of the web" written in Comic Sans. They weren't perfect — not even close. But they were yours. Every weird font choice, every dancing baby GIF, every visitor counter ticking up one at a time. The early web felt like a neighborhood.

2

Then came the platforms.

They said you didn't need a website anymore — just a page on their site. A square on their grid. Post here, share there, boost this. And bit by bit, the internet stopped feeling like a neighborhood and started feeling like a strip mall. The bakery on Elm Street looked like the law firm across town. The family restaurant that's been there thirty years looked exactly like the dentist's office that opened last week. Pick a color, upload a logo, drag a block. Same bones, same soul — which is to say, no soul at all.

We think that's a shame.

4

Your business isn't a template.

It's late nights and early mornings. It's the thing you figured out how to do better than anyone else on your block — and then kept getting better at, year after year. It's the reason someone drives past three competitors to get to you. It's the way your regulars know your name, and you know theirs. That can't be captured in a drag-and-drop builder. That deserves something built from scratch, with the same care you pour into your work every single day.

That deserves more than a Wix site.

(No shade to Wix. Okay, a little shade.)

5

So we started Treehaus.

A small, independent web studio that builds websites the way they should be built — fast, beautiful, and actually yours. No page builders. No cookie-cutter templates. No monthly subscriptions that hold your site hostage. Just real code, real design, and a real team that picks up the phone. We work with small businesses, local restaurants, nonprofits, and anyone else who cares enough about their craft to want a website that reflects it.

We called it Treehaus because that's what a good website is.

Think about it. A treehouse is something you build with your own hands. It sits a little above the noise — up in the canopy, with a view. It's solid enough to last through storms. And it's yours — your design, your rules, your name carved into the doorframe. That's what we want every website we build to feel like. Not a rental. Not a template. A place that belongs to you, built on something strong, with room to grow.

7

Everyone deserves a place online.

Not a rented square on someone else's platform. Not a profile page that could vanish tomorrow if an algorithm changes its mind. A real place. With your name on it. That works while you sleep, answers questions you're tired of answering, and makes people think — "these folks are legit." Whether you're a one-person bakery or a ten-person agency, you deserve a website that does you justice. No asterisks. No compromises.
